In September of 1999, ARES Animation was founded by animator Alex Crouch on the philosophy that animation must be powerful, entertaining, enlightening, risky, rebellious, and even a little dangerous in order to evolve beyond its current state. With the availability of computer technology, there are more opportunities than ever for independent animators to make truly astounding dreams come to life. It is the opinion of ARES Animation that the time has come for these independent animators to become masters of computer technology in order to use these powerful tools to create visions of heretofore unknown impact and relevance.
